Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Chessbrix app and this website. By downloading or using Chessbrix, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

License to use the app

Chessbrix grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own private, non-commercial study of chess. You may not copy, decompile, resell, sublicense, or redistribute the app or its lesson and puzzle content outside of normal personal use.

Purchases and billing

Chessbrix Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. The US reference price is $19.99. Your store — the Apple App Store or Google Play — shows the exact localized price before you buy. Nothing renews, nothing expires, and there is no recurring charge of any kind.

The purchase is sold and billed entirely through the store you downloaded the app from, and is subject to that store's terms of service and payment terms. We do not process payments ourselves or store your payment details. Your purchase is tied to the store account you bought it with, and Chessbrix has no accounts of its own.

Chessbrix Pro unlocks every chapter, lesson and rated puzzle in this app's endgame curriculum, plus the analysis board. New endgame content added to this app is included at no extra cost.

What it covers is the endgame trainer, not every Chessbrix product. If we release separate trainers for other subjects, or a subscription covering several of them, those are sold separately and this purchase is not affected: it will keep working alongside them and will never be withdrawn or converted into a subscription.

Cancellation

There is nothing to cancel. Chessbrix Pro is not a subscription, so it will not appear under Subscriptions in your store account and no future payment is ever taken.

Refunds

Refunds are handled according to the policy of the store you bought through:

• Apple App Store: Apple handles all App Store refunds directly. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com, or from inside the app under Settings, Request a Refund.
• Google Play: you can request a refund from Google directly through the Play Store, or contact us at support@chessbrix.com and we will point you to the right process.

Nothing in this section limits any statutory refund or withdrawal right you have as a consumer under the law of your country of residence.

Content and educational purpose

Chessbrix provides educational chess material: annotated endgame lessons and rated practice puzzles, drawing on long-established classical endgame theory. It is a study tool, not a guarantee of any particular outcome.

No warranty of results

We do not promise that using Chessbrix will raise your chess rating, win you games, or produce any specific result. Chess improvement depends on many factors outside the app, including how much you practice and how you play. The app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, and to the extent permitted by law we disclaim warranties beyond those a statute requires. This does not affect any statutory rights you have as a consumer that cannot lawfully be excluded under the law of your country of residence.

Changes to the app and these terms

We may update the app's content and features over time, and may update these terms to reflect that. If we make a material change to these terms, we will update the "last updated" date above.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions, and the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, mandatory consumer protection provisions of your home country's law may also apply and are not affected by this clause.
